Life in Movement wins at Cinedans!

Life in Movement has taken out the Dioraphte Cinedans Jury Award and the joint audience award at Cinedans Festival in Amsterdam. The jury said the film was a "dramatic and moving document" and that Liedtke was "a considerable talent who reminds me of the young Pina Bausch". High praise indeed to the wonderful Tanja Liedtke, about whom the film was made.

The Jury award carries 7500 euro prize money, one of the largest for a dance on film festival.

The audience award also went to Life in Movement alongside another documentary.

Life in Movement - Upcoming Cinema Release!

Closer's new rights management arm Closer Screens has teamed up with Antidote Films to release Life in Movement into cinemas in early 2012.

Life in Movement nominated for AACTA Awards!

In addition to picking up an AACTA nomination for Best Feature Documentary, Life in Movement has also been nominated for an AACTA Craft Award, with Bryan Mason and Sophie Hyde being nominated for Best Director.

Life in Movement wins Foxtel Australian Documentary Prize!

The Jury said "The winning film pushes the documentary form in a adventurous direction. It weaves past and present in an innovate way, allowing the viewer to appreciate how art is made and how the work transcends the individual. This film celebrates the lasting effects of a passionate life."

The Life in Movement screening at Sydney Film Festival on the 18th is completely sold out!

Life in Movement wins BEST FEATURE at the 2011 SASA Awards!

After an emotional Premiere at the 2011 BigPond Adelaide Film Festival earlier this year, Life in Movement was last week the recipient of Best Feature Film at the South Australian Screen Awards. The prize is 3 screenings at the Mercury Cinema - standby for upcoming show times.

The film is gaining momentum on the world festival circuit with some great screeings in the coming weeks. Most notably, Life in Movement is one of only ten films selected for the Foxtel Documentary Prize.

One-hour version and Study Guide coming soon

We are nearly finished the one hour version of the film. This will make international TV screenings more likely. To compliment both versions, Australian Teachers of Media are creating a Study Guide, which will be available to download soon.
